Xiaomi kicks off the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition rollout globally
Xiaomi has released MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition globally, having already brought the update to multiple devices in China. So far, Xiaomi has issued MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition to the Mi 11X in India and the POCO F3 globally, identical devices but for their names.
Both updates also contain the August 2021 security patch and are rolling out to some devices now as Stable Beta builds. However, Adimorah Blog has posted the recovery and OTA files for both builds, hosted on Xiaomi's servers. Xiaomi states that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition introduces 'swift performance', 'focused algorithms', 'atomized memory' and 'liquid storage' to devices. Essentially, the update should reduce power consumption while boosting performance.
The Mi 11X and the POCO F3 were not the two devices that we would have bet on Xiaomi updating to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition first. Surprisingly, the company stated that updates would start rolling out from Q4 2021, which remains a month away. We have discussed what other devices will receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition in Xiaomi's first batch in our corresponding article.
