ASUS is in the midst of rolling out a series of new laptops fitted with OLED panels, continuing a recent trend for the brand. Earlier today, it launched the ProArt StudioBook 16 and StudioBook Pro 16 laptops, both of which feature OLED displays. Joining these is the new ASUS Zenbook 14X that comes both as a standard laptop and as a 2-in-1 convertible dubbed the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED.
The new Zenbook 14X models come with a choice of 16:10 OLED panels with brightness rated up to 550 nits. The first is a 2.8K OLED with a 90 Hz refresh rate or a 4K OLED HDR panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate. Both panels cover 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut and offer an ultra-fast 0.2 ms response time -- they also producing 70 percent lower blue light emissions than a typical LCD panel. They both also support stylus input and include a signature ASUS FHD+ ScreenPad trackpad.
ASUS has fitted the Zenbook 14X with 11th-gen Intel processors up to a Core i7 and mated with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of SSD storage along with a variant that also supports an additional 32 GB of Intel Optane memory. There is also support for up to an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete GPU. Connectivity is provided by two USB-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 4, one USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, one HDMI 2.0b port, one 3.5 mm combo audio jack and a microSD card reader.
The ASUS Zenbook 14X range starts at US$1,400 and will begin shipping soon.
