Asus has launched a special edition of its ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop. The new device is the result of a collaboration with DJ Alan Walker and features a DJ mixing deck built into the packaging along with some other unique design touches and bonus items.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop has a well earned reputation as being one of the better built and performing models on the market. The Taiwanese company has teamed with DJ Alan Walker for a new special edition version of the laptop. In addition to some unique visual touches reflective of its chief collaborator and bonus items in the package, its box also features a built-in mixing deck.

As you might expect of an electronic mixing deck built into a cardboard box, it isn’t state of the art, but it works. When plugged in, a special ROG Remix app opens giving users access to music that can then be remixed in three sampler styles. Buttons include start/stop, speed along with18 different sound effects. It’s not designed to be something that you could take into a live situation, but targeted for a bit of fun at home.

There is only one version of the ROG Zephyrus Alan Walker Special Edition. It is fitted with a 120 Hz WQHD display, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS CPU mated to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and 1 TB of SSD storage. Also in the box are a pair of customized socks, cap and laptop sleeve. The whole bundle will set you back US$1,999 and is available for pre-order on the Asus website.

Buy the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 with AMD Ryzen 5900HS and GeForce RTX 3060 for US$1,788 from Amazon.
