Asus launches the latest VivoBook line in Europe as laptops with high-end displays with reasonable prices
Asus has announced that the latest round of VivoBooks will, like their ZenBook or StudioBook cousins, have OLED-equipped models. Now, these new laptops have also been unleashed on the European market. Their new panel types are FHD in the 15-inch model, although the Pro 14, 14X and 16X go from 2.5K to 4K, depending on the configuration chosen.
The OEM has made them available with choices of 11th-gen Intel H35 or AMD Zen 3 platforms, topping out at the Core i7-11370H or Ryzen 9 5900HX in the highest-end options. The 14-inch Tiger Lake-powered SKUs may be paired with GeForce GTX 1650 graphics, although its VivoBook 15 counterpart can upgrade (on paper, at least) to the RTX 3050.
Then again, top-end SKUs might integrate the 3050 Ti instead. They may be joined by up to 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM and up to 1TB SSDs in the new VivoBooks. Interestingly, Asus has indicated that a customer might even customize an order for one with the OEM's new Dial-enabled trackpad.
This VivoBook OLED range is projected to become available in the final quarter of 2021. Asus estimates they will start at €799 (~US$949) for the Pro 14 range, whereas the 15 will be €949 (~$1,128) at least. Finally, the VivoBook Pro 16X will go for €1,299 (~$1544) in its cheapest form.
