Rumor | Alleged Google Pixel 6 camera samples surface in the wild
The Google Pixel 6 series was announced by Google weeks ago. As is typical with phones in the series, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are expected to debut as two of the best camera smartphones in the world. For the first time yet, camera samples claimed to be from the Pixel 6 series have now surfaced, with mixed impressions.
The images were released by Google employee Zaheed Sabur on Facebook, with a claim potentially implying that they were shot on the latest Google Pixel phone. It's also important to note that, in another picture, Zaheed confirms that the image was "shot on the latest Google Pixel". That could be the new Pixel 5a 5G, or the unreleased Pixel 6. We'll let you be the judge of that.
Here's a lesson to learn, even with the most common phone on the market, I can take amazing pictures like this. And even with our latest phones that haven't been released yet, I can't take such an amazing picture sitting at home.
The images themselves are, well, interesting, for lack of a better term. They show excellent dynamic range and impressive details. On the flip side, though, they look oversaturated and nothing like what we've come to expect from Google's color reproduction. Edited images, then. From the look of it, these images are not to be considered a reliable representation of what to expect from the Pixel 6. We'll keep you updated either way.
