The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will ship with Tensor, Google's first in-house chipset. In advance of an official unveiling, Google has run a promotional campaign based around potato chips. Google will be giving away 10,000 bags, all based on Pixel 6 series colour schemes.

Google said that it would be spending a lot more on advertising for the Pixel 6 series, with the company barely advertising past Nexus and Pixel smartphones compared with the likes of Apple and Samsung. Now, Google Japan has unveiled a potato chips-based campaign to promote the company's first in-house chip, Tensor. While Google is yet to reveal the makeup of Tensor, Mishaal Rahman has.

Google Japan will give away 10,000 bags of potato chips to those who register for them, all 'Googley Salty Flavor'. The corresponding website emphasises that Google has designed each bag to represent a Pixel 6 series colour, as the embedded image above hints towards.

The new advert has now received many views on YouTube yet, but a recent one has been watched over 2.4 million times in under a week. Google has started sponsoring TV shows in the UK, too. Unfortunately, it still remains unclear as to when Google will release the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Jon Prosser believes that Google will start shipping the pair on October 19, but Google has not confirmed this.
