ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 appears at retailers with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU and a 4K OLED display
Last year, ASUS released the ZenBook Pro 15 UX535, a 15.6-inch laptop with an Intel Core i7-10750H processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q GPU and a 4K IPS display. While we were fans of our review unit, we remarked that including AMD Ryzen processors would realise the ZenBook Pro 15 UX535's potential. ASUS is yet to announcing anything relating to an AMD Ryzen refresh, but three retailers in China, Germany and Sweden have.
The new model contains more than just AMD Ryzen processors, too. According to the listings, the ZenBook Pro 15 UM535QE will also come with an upgraded display and GPU. Specifically, the ZenBook Pro 15 UM535QE has a 4K OLED display that peaks at around 440 cd/m². Additionally, the two models that have appeared have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. No retailer has detailed the GPU's TGP, but it will operate at between 60 W and 115 W.
Moreover, ASUS will release the ZenBook Pro 15 UM535QE with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPUs. Naturally, prices for these models vary between China, Germany and Sweden, as does the machine's release date. On the one hand, Bauer states that the ZenBook Pro 15 UM535QE will launch at the end of September. On the other hand, Inet reports that the device will be available from mid-August.
Nonetheless, the ZenBook Pro 15 UM535QE would be quite the upgrade from the current Intel-based model. Not only does it have improved processors, but it also has a better GPU and a more vibrant display.
