Logitech has unveiled a fancy-looking docking station, and an expensive one at that. The Logi Dock can recharge devices at up to 100 W and has an integrated speakerphone for Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom calls.

Logitech has unveiled a docking station, appropriately called the Logi Dock. Billed as being able to 'declutter the desktop and make joining meetings easy', the Logi Dock offers numerous ports while minimising the cables that you must connect to your laptop when docking it with an external monitor.

Specifically, the Logi Dock has two USB Type-C ports and two USB Type-A ports, along with DisplayPort and HDMI connections. The dock also contains speakers, allowing you to use it as a speakerphone on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom calls. Accordingly, Logitech has certified the Logi Dock for these three programs. Alternatively, you could use the Logi Dock as a Bluetooth speaker.

There are also buttons on top of the device to control volume levels, turn off the dock, mute your microphone and disable your camera. The final two features can only be triggered if you have a corresponding app installed, which will be available for macOS and Windows.

The Logi Dock delivers all this functionality to a laptop via USB Type-C, which can charge a device at up to 100 W via USB Power Delivery. The Logi Dock will be available globally this winter in two colours. Logitech states that the dock will retail for US$399 in the US; it is yet to announce prices for other regions.
