OnePlus’s first smartwatch wasn’t quite the flagship wearable many of us hoped it to be. Part of it has to do with the fact that the watch ran on a proprietary OS. Well, after about three years, the brand has launched its successor, the OnePlus Watch 2, and this time, it’s positioning itself as a true flagship with Wear OS.

Artificial intelligence is now setting the tone everywhere, including modems and wireless systems. In the next generation of Qualcomm's smartphone mobile platforms, the Snapdragon X80 modem RF system presented today at Mobile World Congress 2024 and the FastConnect 7900 radio system on a chip will be responsible for improved connectivity, with AI wielding the baton.

Qualcomm will demonstrate what is already possible with the NPUs of the current and future Snapdragon platforms on AI PCs, smartphones, IoT devices, and even cars. The keyword is "on device", i.e. not outsourced to the cloud. Speed fanatics are likely to be eagerly awaiting the Snapdragon X Elite, for example, proving its dominance in a direct AI test with an Intel Meteor Lake chip.

Lenovo has now offered a first look at the ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop, one of the most unusual devices to bear the ThinkBook badge. While only a 'proof of concept' at this stage, Lenovo provided some hands-on time with the device at its MWC 2024 event in Barcelona.

Lenovo is doing a reversal when it comes to the repairability of its ThinkPad T series: The new Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 features two SO-DIMMs and a user-replaceable internal battery. The Honor Magic6 Pro made its official debut in China in the middle of January, and the global debut was later teased for MWC 2024. As the teaser stated, the Android smartphone has just been unveiled for the international market. It has the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 108 MP periscope camera, and on-device AI as the Chinese variant.
