Vivo iQOO Watch GT features Apple Watch design and is set to launch alongside iQOO TWS 1i gaming earphones
While the iQOO Watch was still equipped with a round display, the iQOO Watch GT is apparently based on the design of the Apple Watch Series 9 (approx. 500 euros on Amazon). This is because Vivo has posted on the Chinese social network Weibo the teaser images embedded below, confirming that the iQOO Watch GT will be officially unveiled on Thursday, July 11.
The watch has a rectangular display with strongly rounded corners, which probably has much thicker screen edges than the Apple Watch Series 9 (as the cost-cutting measures). There is a single button in the form of a digital crown on the right-hand side. The quick-change wristband system is apparently integrated directly into the case, just like on the Apple Watch, although the teaser image does not yet show the system for unlocking wristbands. The iQOO Watch GT is already advertised as an "AI smartwatch" in the teaser image, but it is not yet known which features based on artificial intelligence this teaser refers to.
The smartwatch is apparently offered with a selection of sports and leather straps and comes with a navigation app and various watch faces. The watch has a battery life of 21 days and has an NFC chip for contactless payment. At the same time, Vivo is planning new completely wireless earphones, which will be marketed as iQOO Buds 1i. Apart from the fact that the earphones have IP54 certification and are, therefore, protected against sweat and rain, Vivo has not yet confirmed any details about the features.
