The Watch GT has debuted as iQOO's first wearable that is an Apple Watch clone. It is rated to support AI-powered watchfaces, notifications and smart summaries on its AMOLED display. It will be released soon in China with eSIM-enabled variants that start at just over $100.

The new GT is now the only version of the iQOO Watch to have a square display, which is, moreover, nearly as large as that of the Apple Watch series 9 at 1.85 inches long. Then again, its case only comes in 1 color, which is black.

Like its predecessor, the Watch GT runs BlueOS, touted by iQOO to apply on-board AI to features such as always-on, highly-customizable watchfaces that can switch to "smart" notifications at need. The UI is also rated to support navigation with "200% improved" GPS.

The Watch GT has eSIM and non-eSIM variants, the latter of which will go for just 479 yuan (~$66) on its July 16, 2024 release to the Chinese market.

It will cost 799 yuan (~$110) with independent connectivity and a sports band in either iQOO two-tone yellow and black or plain black, or 899 yuan (~$124) with a stitched leather band - meanwhile, the Apple Watch series 9 starts at $299 on Amazon right now.
