Rumors suggest the Huawei Watch GT 5 smartwatch could be on the way. This would follow the Watch GT 4, which launched last September. Weibo tipster Fixed Focus Digital indicates they have been testing a new wearable from the company, which they cryptically described as "the next generation of the main sports series watches".
This points to the Watch GT 5, given that Huawei's customer service team confirmed on Weibo in May that a GT 4 Pro model is not happening. The leaker also claims that the upcoming smartwatch uses the new HarmonyOS NEXT, which they suggest is an upgrade on HarmonyOS 4.2, providing a smoother experience when using the watch. The announcement of a new Huawei GT smartwatch series has historically happened once every two years, with the launch in September or October.
