The new Oppo Enco Air 4i are positioned as particularly affordable, completely wireless earphones. To make the low price possible, Oppo does without advanced, computing-intensive features such as active noise cancellation (ANC) or hi-fi codecs, instead focusing on getting the basics right on the Enco Air 4i.
To this end, Oppo installs a relatively large 560 mAh battery in the charging case, which reportedly results in a combined runtime of 54 hours; without the case, this is said to be twelve hours. The headphones are IP55-certified and thus protected against rain and sweat. Bluetooth 5.4 is used for smartphone connectivity, whereby only SBC and AAC are supported. The latency in gaming mode is said to be relatively low at 47 milliseconds.
The Enco Air 4i have dynamic drivers with a diameter of 12.4 millimeters. The sound can be adjusted to your own needs via a 6-band equalizer in the associated smartphone app. The integrated microphones allow users to make phone calls with the earphones or use a voice assistant. The weight of 4.3 grams and the silicone ear tips in several sizes should ensure a reasonable level of comfort when worn for long periods of time.
