Shokz unveils OpenFit 2 open-ear earphones with improved sound reproduction
Shokz has unveiled the OpenFit 2 open-ear earphones for users who must hear their surroundings at all times. A large 17.3 mm bass driver has been added to the regular driver for better frequency reproduction with DualBoost technology. DirectPitch 2.0 and OpenBass 2.0 deliver music to the ears with less leakage. The earphones use dual MEMS microphones with AI software to pick up voice clearly in noisy environments. The app has four EQ presents and users can set two custom EQ presets. A Find My Earbuds feature is included in the app.
Each earbud weighs 0.33 oz. (9.3 g), with an IP55-rating for water and dust resistance. The earphones use soft Ultra-Soft Silicone 2.0 in black or beige for comfort. Ear hooks prevent loss while exercising, and physical control buttons eliminate touch-control failure when the fingers are sweaty.
The charging case weighs 1.87 oz. (53 g). A full charge provides 11 hours of runtime, and the charging case adds up 37 hours of runtime. A 10-minute quick charge provides users with 2 hours of runtime. The OpenFit uses Bluetooth 5.4 to pair with two sources simultaneously.
