Huawei has unveiled a new pair of wireless earbuds. The Huawei FreeBuds SE 3 is not quite as feature-rich as some other offerings, with the company clearly mentioning one particular limitation: the lack of multi-device connectivity. This likely refers to missing support for Bluetooth multipoint, meaning that these earphones can’t connect to two devices simultaneously. This feature can come in handy when you want to use a pair of headphones with a laptop and a phone. For example, you might use them for consuming media on your laptop one moment and taking a call on your smartphone the next. Nonetheless, connecting the FreeBuds SE 3 to a compatible device should be quite easy thanks to an optional pairing button on the charging case.
Huawei has equipped the FreeBuds SE 3 with a single 10 mm driver in each earbud. Perhaps unsurprisingly, they still promise to deliver decent sound quality. Depending on personal taste, the headphones might impress you with their design. The product is available in two colourways: gold and black, with both the slim earbuds and the charging case sporting matching colour accents. Huawei claims the FreeBuds SE 3 offers up to 42 hours of battery life – provided the earbuds are placed in the case for charging between uses. Ten minutes of charging should be enough to give you three hours of audio playback.
Right now, the Huawei FreeBuds SE 3 is only available in China for a regular retail price of around €26 (US$27). There are plenty of alternatives to consider at this price point.
