You can now score a mid-tier 2021 Apple MacBook Pro for $1,699.99 on Amazon-owned Woot. The laptop that's enjoying this hefty discount comes with a 10-core Apple M1 Pro, 16-core GPU, 1 TB storage, and 16 GB of RAM. Without any deal in place, it generally goes for $2,499.
The laptop is a bit dated now, given that Apple is already preparing to release the new MacBook series with Apple M4 CPUs (256 GB iPad Pro M4 curr. $1,199 on Amazon). However, the 10-core Apple M1 Pro with a 16-core GPU still has what it takes to handle all your productivity needs.
We didn't review this exact MacBook Pro 14, but we did test out the 10-core Apple M1 Pro CPU that's inside the laptop. In our benchmarks, the processor did reasonably well in Cinebench 2024, offering performance close to the top-end Intel Core i7 14700HX.
As for the 16-core GPU that's inside this MacBook Pro 14, it stood its ground well in our GFXBench test. However, the raw performance isn't the only highlight of this 2021 Apple laptop. It also comes with a great 14.2-inch display. All the different variants have the same display, and in our review of the model with an 8-core CPU and 14-core GPU, we found the mini-LED panel to be excellent for every use case.
The battery life of the 2021 Apple MacBook Pro 14 is also good. Apple says that you can expect to get up to 17 hours of video playback after a full charge.
