The inside also includes exquisite components: An Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage U7500 processor, a DVD drive and a bright 11" LED LCD.

Studio Line. For the present the new Studio series by Dell is available in two sizes. On the one hand there is the Studio 15, which has a compact 15.4 inch wide screen format. On the other hand there is also the 17 inch model called Dell Studio 17, which was especially designed for all those who appreciate a big display with much overview. But, the Studio 17 does not only take advantage of a bigger size, but also of more powerful hardware components, i.e, an Intel processors and ATI graphics card, and bigger reserve capacity.

Centrino 2 Kino. The Sony Vario FW11M is one of the currently low priced models and offers therefore only a blu ray ROM drive (reader, no writer) and decreased hardware devices. New in Business. Right on time for the launch of the new Intel Montevina Platform, Lenovo uncovers its brand new product range. While the T, R and X series are full of familiar faces, the SL models reveal an entirely new product, that should strengthen Lenovo's position in the entry level business sector. Equipped with many of the tried and true Thinkpad features, these new noteboks will probably appeal most to price conscious business and private customers.

Overtime. The Dell M6300 already had the chance to demonstrate its capabilities. Now, it got the chance again. Except of a powerful T9500 CPU with 2.6 GHz by Intel, a Quadro FX 3600M graphics adapter by nVidia ensures a lot of power inside this 17 inch workstation, which was especially designed for CAD professionals.

Urban-Lifestyle. Since the beginning the CR series is designed for style and it is possible to choose your personal design. The Vaio VGN-CR31S/W is so do. Weighing only 2.5 kg and having an elegant case, it wants to raise special expectations on lifestyle and mobility. Fast core components and the 14.1 inch X-black LCD allow enjoying multimedia even on the move.

Multimedia all-rounder. After the Asus M70S and the M51SN, it is now time for the M50S to be tested. The M50S, like the other notebooks made by Asus, belong to the segment of high performance multimedia notebooks. The hardware equipment and design of our 15" M50S test sample are very similar or even identical with the bigger M70S. This includes a HDMI interface and a Blu-Ray drive.

Compaq(t). Having a handy 14.1 inch format and weighing 2.3 kg, the HP Compaq 6910p is a mobile office expert made by the American notebook producer Hewlett-Packard. Aspects especially important for sales agents are many provided communication modules, e.g., Bluetooth, WLAN standard n, Gigabit Ethernet, and built-in UMTS.

Entertainment Notebook with blu ray drive Sony's Vaio VGN-FZ31Z is equipped with a built-in blu ray drive, an HDMI port, and a very bright 15.4 inch X-black display. It is designed as entertainment centre and supports watching HD videos from its Blu-ray drive. The T8300, an Intel Core2 Duo CPU, the fast GeForce T8300M GS graphics card, and 4 GB RAM ensure high performance. HP goes mini. HPs answer to the EEE PC by Asus is equipped with a VIA processor, and attracts attention by an elegant look and a complete equipment. Thinkpad Air. As slimmest and lightest ever model in the Thinkpad series, Lenovo shows off its most recent creation. The initial hype surrounding the compact notebook was only further heightened by the near simultaneous introduction of the MacBook Air. In complete contrast to the slick but air-headed Apple, Lenovo stayed down to earth with the business competence provided by the Thinkpad X300, particularly in terms of its extensive communicative capacity.

Innovation. In many aspects the Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Si3655 is an innovative notebook.This compact 13 inch subnotebook comes in a brand new Amilo design and is equipped with the latest development by Intel: the Centrino 2. In detail it is equipped with a Core 2 Duo T9400 CPU with 2.53 GHz combined with the new GM45 chip-set, and an integrated Intel GMA X4500HD video chip. Typical Desktop Replacement. Samsung's R700 Aura T9300 Dillen, a 17 inch notebook, offers a lot of performance at a moderate price. This thin 17 inch multimedia notebook comes with powerful and modern components and weighs just 3.1 kg. Due to an overall high performance, the R700 is also fit for demanding applications and computer games.

The Eee is growing up. Bigger display, more disk space and a full-featured OS sum up to clearly bring the Eee 900 ahead of its predecessor, the Eee 4G. Even so, the Eee 900 retains a compact and robust chassis with high mobility factor. In the following review you will see how the Asus Eee PC is growing ever closer to becoming a truly classic subnotebook machine.

Big display at a great price. The price of a notebook is the most important aspect for most customers. Nearly all manufacturers are responsive to this trend and also offer a number of low price models. Toshiba has already offered its Satellite L-series, which consists of very reasonable beginner's office notebooks, for a long time. The Satellite L350, which is equipped with a big 17 inch display and Intel's Dual-Core technology, is available at a great price.

Lightweight Design The noble SZ series by Sony was again redesigned. Today these notebooks are equipped with most up-to-date processors. The Vaio VGN-SZ71WN/C is an ultra portable notebook with fast Penryn T9300 processor, a 2.5“-HDD with 200 GB capacity, a very bright 13.3" display with LED backlight and fast HSDPA Internet access.

Gaming performance with compromises. The MSI Megabook GX 600 is nearly completely black. It does not look that pretentious and fancy than the previously reviewed Magabook GX 700 with Extreme Gaming design. Despite the somewhat more decent look, the target group is apparent. Strikingly red W/A/S/D buttons and a big turbo button at the right side above the keyboard, support gamers.

Multimedia vs. Gaming. Apart from the Asus G70, a notebook specifically designed for gaming, Asus also offers the M70S in its new 17” series of notebooks, which is targeted at users with less gaming ambitions. With its powerful T9300 processor, ATI Radeon HD3650 graphics, and Blu-Ray drive, the Asus M70S appeals mainly to multimedia users with a desire for a large FullHD display.

TV-Total. The Pavilion HDX enters the competition of XL notebooks about the biggest display. Although there are not many competitors in this category, this 20 inch notebook still tries to attract attention by an innovative opening mechanism. And obviously this is successful. Today, the shortcut 'HDX' is already known to hint on innovative design. Regarding equipment, this notebook scores points by coming with a Geforce 8800M GTS video card.

Mobile living room. We reviewed the bigger 18” 16:9 notebook after the Aspire 6920G, which is Acer's new compact multimedia class. The 8920G looks similar to the 6920G, but there are differences in their equipment. For example: the 8920G offers GeForce 9650M graphics and this graphic card is the successor of the GeForce 8700M GT chip.

South wind. Although Zepto's Notus A12 is not light enough to fly, it is certainly lighter than many other notebooks, with only 1.37 kilogram. It is also well equipped, with Bluetooth 2.0, Draft-N-WLAN up to 300MBit/s, 6.5 millimeter thin 12.1" display with LED back light, TPM module for encryption, flat magnesium case and a battery that keeps it running for quite a while.

Danish Express. These days Zepto entices customers by a big price reduction for its Znote 3415W 'Power'. Besides a Penryn-CPU T9500 and a huge RAM capacity of 4GB also the mass storage capacity is big. The 200 GB hard disk runs at a revolution speed of 7,200 rpm, and a GeForce 8600M GT ensures high performance graphics. All aboard!

Mobile Business. Dell's Vostro series offers robust business qualities for a fair price and thus becomes interesting for customers who value a stable and durable product. The Dell Vostro 1310 impresses mainly with it's good mobility, which it achieves with a compact case, long battery life, and an outdoor capable display.
