Hawkforce would also like to put emphasis on a high customer satisfaction and a solid service after the purchase. We took a closer look at the attractive 13.3" subnotebook Mobile.ForceM13.S1 by Hawkforce.

Big’n'Cheap. The notion that notebooks with a large display are also expensive is refuted with the latest Dell Inspiron 1750. The notebook is already configurable starting at 399.00 Euros, although it's possible to quickly beat this bargain with a few special requests. All-rounder. With the K50IN, Asus has a 15.6-inch all-round notebook on offer, which rises in search of customers with a Core 2 Duo T6400, an integrated Nvidia G 102M and a moderate price of around 600 Euro. Netbook with Business Ambitions.Even if it's not actually obvious in the mini-notebook's name, HP has put the Mini 5101 among the models their SMB range. Be that as it may, it wouldn't really be distinguished from other current consumer netbooks by its specifications, if it wasn't for one enticing detail: A 10.1 inch LED HD display with a resolution of 1366x766 pixels and that in a matt edition. Interested?

The new middle class. They should be compact, mobile and efficient at the same time - multimedia notebooks usually have the hardest time to satisfy their customers. Of course, the price also plays an important role because as many interested parties as possible should be able to afford the device. The Acer 5739G positions itself quite well in all these points, but it attracts general interest with especially one feature: The new Nvidia Geforce GT 240M graphic card.

External drives from LaCie. From small and light to robust and flexible, the four different drives cover a broad range of applications in the review. The following test report is highlighted for whomever the external companion comes into question at all.

Best. - That's how Apple has named its strongest version of the 15" MacBook Pro with a 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo and a 512 MB GeForce 9600M GT. The refresh of mid 2009 has brought a new display with an extendable color space, a SD cardreader and an integrated battery with almost 50% more capacity. The slim and light multimedia notebook can convince in almost all fields, merely the display's reflections and the heat development remain as critique points.

MacBook 13 + Pro. Again at last, after a rebranding to Pro, the little 13" MacBookPro can bid a Firewire. Furthermore it received a SD cardreader and a significantly better display. The Power of Serenity Alienware and gaming - evidently always a solid partnership. Doubts that this union might be destabilized by the full integration of Alienware into the Dell Company can now, after the first offspring of this alliance, be invalidated. A stylish aluminum giant with two Nvidia Geforce GTX 280M graphic cards and an overclockable QX9300 CPU @ 3.06 GHz ex-factory faces us. Let the game begin!

School netbook. Dell would like to capture the market of schools with the Dell Latitude 2100, and designed a robust netbook with standard entrails (Atom N270, GMA 950), and an optional touch screen for this. The following review will tell you if the low-cost netbook could convince in the hands-on.

Bulletproof. The Dell Latitude E6400 XFR is the extra robust version of the E6400 business notebook and direct competition to the Panasonic Toughbook CF-19. SSD or HDD? In the last one and a half years the SSD market has made enormous steps. Alongside constantly falling prices, the performance also climbs with each generation. The teething troubles are slowly cured and thus SSDs already put themselves forwards as alternatives to current HDDs in notebooks. The Wings of a Butterfly. The butterfly has, according to the Asus homepage, significantly influenced the design of the U50 series. With the U50Vg Asus fields a dazzling notebook in the 15.6-inch form factor. An Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 CPU, a Nvidia Geforce G 105M graphics card and four gigabytes of main memory provide not only a solid office performance but also allow you to play the odd not-too-demanding game and work with light multimedia work. A Dream for Gamers? With the G71GX, Asus has a 17 inch notebook in its range, which is aimed especially at gamers with its strong components such as the Core 2 Duo T9550 and the Geforce GTX 260M. However, it should also attract entertainment fans with its Blu-Ray drive at the same time. Read in this review if this difficult straddle can be achieved.

The need for speed. Up till now desktop processors often preceded their equivalents in the notebook sector. Although the field of mobile-computing is still growing and has long thrown off its shadow-existence, there won't be anything changing this trend at the moment, probably also because of technical difficulties to be solved. Therefore, many resourceful notebook manufacturers now offer mobile devices with an integrated desktop CPU. The mySN QXG7 notebook (Clevo D9F) belongs to the few currently available models.

Heroes die young. At Cebit this year the W90 from Asus was still the big eye-catcher, where it promised gaming performance, which you would otherwise more likely find from the Alienware camp. Although Asus rightly worked flat out on the design of the case, the deployed hardware was first and foremost the reason for the overall interest in the notebook. The white one. Samsung had gone on the netbook stage late with its NC10, but after a while of market monitoring, hit a homerun right away with the latecomer. Graphics monster. After some delays the Clevo M98NU barebone has now finally made it onto the German market. The Long-Distance Runner. The Wind U115 Luxury is a netbook alternative from MSI, which attracts attention especially due to its built-in components and a promised long-life battery. An Intel Atom Z530 CPU, an Intel Poulsbo chip set with a GMA500 graphic chip set and a built-in SSD memory unit in addition to the hard disk is supposed to bridle the energy requirement especially effectively in mobile mode. Illustriously into the Future with 10 inches The Dell Mini 10, a further compact and relatively light mini-notebook has turned up for tests in our editorial office. The stylish small format in high-gloss optic is available in various looks and specifications. How the compact 10 inch device from Dell will meet up to the requirements put on it, can be read in the following review.

Light, slim, aesthetic. - that is how MSI promotes their X-Slim series. The X-Slim X340 in the test is, conclusively, a very slim, fairly light 13-4 inch subnotebook. The use of an Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor and integrated GMA 4500 HD graphic chip shows its orientation on mobile computing. If the X340 can fulfill these requirements without limitation is clarified in the following test.

Success for Mission Entertainment? Asus sends the M60VP, a 16 inch multimedia bolide with a Core 2 Duo P8700 and Mobility Radeon HD4650 with 1 GByte DDR3 VRAM, into the race. If the M60VP can convince only with its performance, or if it can impress in the important categories for multimedia, such as sound and display, you will read in our following review.

Latecomer. Netbooks were a no-go topic for Sony for a long time. They did unleash two ultra-mobile mini-notebooks onto the market with the Vaio P11 and P21, but these discerned themselves strongly from the mainstream-netbooks already because of their comparatively high price. The good sales figures of many other manufacturers will have probably let Sony change their mind in the meantime. We present: The Sony Vaio W11 with a 10.1" display (1366x768) and an Intel Atom N280 CPU.

Overclock Me. MSI has recently lined up comparatively well in the mobile gaming sector. There are hardly any other manufacturers that offer such an extensive range of models, like MSI's GX- and GT-series. The GT725 thereby belongs to the best-performing laptops on offer. In the 17-inch format, equipped with ATI HD 4850 graphics and an Intel P9500 CPU overclockable up to almost 3 GHz, it makes the hearts of the gaming community beat faster.

The empire strikes back. The announced takeover of Alienware by Dell was accompanied with hopes, as well as fears, in the gamer community. It was hoped that the devices would hereafter take a step towards Dell's standards in view of workmanship and case quality. At the same time, it was also feared that the once uncompromising performance-orientation would suffer enormously under the cost pressure, as Alienware was to replace the XPS series from now on. EliteBook>Compaq>ProBook. HP still enjoys a good reputation with professional users and business customers. Toshiba NB Netbook, Episode 2. As the 8.9 inch sized NB 100 has recently been in our test lab, now Toshiba's second netbook coup, the NB 200, is already on the test-bench. This time, however, with a 10.1 inch display for an improved overview. The question, if the Toshiba NB200 can even be considered to be the NB 100's heir, as the implemented hardware of both models by and large are conform, or if it's simply a refresh of the NB 100 with a larger display and altered look, remains to be seen.

Is plastic still good? After the introduction of the aluminium MacBook (Pro) laptops, the white MacBook made from polycarbonate hasn't got much attention. The low-price entry-level model from Apple is in no way a discontinued product, as it has already been updated twice this year. Thanks to the 9400M chipset graphics and the 2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU it actually doesn't have to hide from the smallest MacBook Pro.How it performed in our extensive tests, you can find out in this review.

CrisesBook. Not only are saturated profits in the wallet gone for the time being, but the business laptops are obviously no longer earning so much as some years ago. This indeed might please the consumers, who can profit from the falling prices and new low-cost models. The just-released ProBooks from the laptop giant Hewlett-Packard are part of the bargain. Wide, light, and enduring…Acer brings into play a format so far untypical of netbooks with the 11.6" Aspire One 751 and calls it a "Widescreen Netbook". Image and sound are supposed to be rendered especially "breath-taking" through this niche-modell, not leaving anything to be desired. Our review shows how the new form factor acquits itself in practice and compared to the competition.

Elegance in 12.1 inches. With the Asus N20A we can introduce another of the currently rather popular mini-notebooks. Developed for the consumer market, for this 12.1-inch subnotebook Asus has amongst other things also attached particular importance to elegant looks. The Frugal One. With the Aspire One A110/ A150, Acer has passed other Asus EeePC clones last year and reached the Netbook throne. It seems the Taiwanese company has found the right price-performance mix as they sold more and more items without any spectacular aspect and reached a market share of 37 %. With new additions, the product mix covers a wide spectrum of Netbook segment. We had reviewed the immediate successors Aspire One D150 and Aspire One 531 and now focus on the Acer Aspire One D250. Pocket Size. An ultra-compact and light notebook as a permanent chaperone, perpetual access to internet, never again computer-free time? Sony also makes their contribution to make this lifestyle reality come true with its VGN-P series in an eight inch format and hopes that they will attract a wide range of potential buyers with their stylistic mini-devices. Media Artist. Dell offers the new Studio 1555 models at a competitive price of 499.00 Euros and also promotes these accordingly. For this seeming bargain price you get a rather meager equipped basic version, though. But if you configure it well-considered, you still can achieve an attractive price for value ratio.
