Reviews for the Toshiba Qosmio X300-148
Source: Techradar

Toshiba's Qosmio X300 is a competitive laptop for the price, but performance lags compared to the competition. Toshiba's Qosmio range is firmly aimed at the multimedia market. Despite the build quality issues, this is a decent gaming laptop for those who don't want to bankrupt themselves buying a machine. However, performance lags considerably behind the high-calibre competition out there.

NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GTS: The 9700M GTS is not based on the G96 (as the GT) but on the G94 core with 48 shaders. PureVideo HD helps the CPU in decoding HD videos.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

Intel Core 2 Duo: This is the Core Duo and Core Solo successor with a longer pipeline and 5-20% more speed without more power consumption. As an addition to the Core Duo design there exists a fourth decoder, an amplified SSE-unit and an additional arithmetical logical unit (ALU).
The Core 2 Duo for laptops is identical to the desktop Core 2 Duo processors but the notebook-processors work with lower voltages (0.95 to 1188 Volt) and a lower Frontside bus clock (1066 vs 667 MHz). The performance of equally clocked notebooks is 20-25% lower than Desktop PCs because of the lower Frontside bus clock and the slower hard disks.
T9550:
The T9550 is a middle class dual-core CPU of the Core 2 Duo line and similar to the P9600 (except for the higher TDP of the T9550 - 35 vs 25 W). The performance of the T9550 should be sufficient for most applications and games of 2009.
