These LG smartphones will receive Android 12 and Android 13; V60 ThinQ is the only notable absentee

LG has confirmed which of its smartphones will see Android 12 and Android 13, while reiterating its Android 11 update plans. At least the LG Velvet and LG Wing will receive Android 13, while the V50, G8 and three Q-series smartphones will get Android 12. Inexplicably, the V60 ThinQ is missing from LG's update plans, despite being the company's last true flagship smartphone.

iPhone 12 Pro Mac: a new case brings one of Apple's most polarizing design choices to smartphones

Have you ever looked at your iPhone 12 Pro and thought it just wasn't 2019 Mac Pro enough? A new case means you can indeed apply the desktop's signature "cheesegrater" texture to the mobile device - provided you have a 3D printer, of course. Its designer has taken inspiration from alleged Apple IP that might make the idea a reality.

Galaxy A82: a new hands-on leak with the upcoming mid-range Samsung phone is devoid of flip-cam

A number of recent tips have pointed to the imminent launch of the Galaxy A82, although it might also be known as the Quantum2 in its maker Samsung's native South Korea. However, it now seems it will drop the distinctive flip-cam mechanism of its predecessor the A80 and become just another 2021 candy-bar device. Ice Universe claims to have hands-on images that confirm this rumor once and for all.

Hack allows unlocking GPU virtualization functionality on consumer NVIDIA cards

GPU virtualization or vGPU enables GPU resources to be shared by multiple VMs or remote machines and is traditionally restricted to certain datacenter and high-end Quadro cards. Now, a relatively simple mod has appeared on GitHub that enables vGPU functionality even on consumer NVIDIA GPUs on a Linux host as long as they are based on the same physical GPU as a vGPU-compatible Tesla card.

Today, we will see if these are enough to make the Holm 510 competitive or this is just another overpriced gaming desk.

The AMD Ryzen 9 5950X has been subject to some ruthless price-gouging by certain retailers. (Image source: AMD/various - edited)

Sky-high AMD Ryzen 9 5950X prices provide an unsettlingly discouraging snapshot for PC builders of the effects of the 2021 global chip shortage

A timely reminder has been shared of how the current global chip famine has affected processor prices, in this case specifically for the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. While retailers who have tried to stay close to MSRP are invariably out of stock, those with Ryzen 9 5950X CPUs to sell are mostly setting astronomical price tags for the Zen 3 powerhouse.
