Reviews for the Motorola Moto G9 Plus
Motorola is launching the Moto G9 Plus, a new mid-range smartphone with a large 5,000 mAh battery and a dedicated Google Assistant button. The 6.8-inch Max Vision display of the affordable Moto phone reveals not only advantages in our review though - especially in terms of brightness.

Not fussed about 5G? Don’t care about 120Hz screens? The Moto G9 Plus is one of the best affordable phones around, tailor made for those who want to stream video and play games, not just faff about on WhatsApp.

The Moto G9 Plus is for the most part an amazing value phablet. But with Motorola having released the higher specced, more future proof Moto G 5G Plus mere weeks ago, it sits in an awkward position in the Western market.

We appreciated the large screen and the very good main camera, and the Snapdragon 730G still holds up pretty well. The large battery with fast charging is quite competitive, too. Even though there is no sign of the G7 Plus' premium build and loud stereo speakers, the G9 Plus appears to be positioned quite well feature/price-wise and we're happy to give it our recommendation.

Motorola’s mid-range advances in late 2020 began with the humble Moto G9 Play, but it’s the Moto G9 Plus that’s arguably its most intriguing new affordable device. At first glance, it has it all: a large display, a large battery, and a not-too-shabby mid-range chipset, as well as a multitude of versatile cameras. All of that has a pretty decent price tag attached to it: the Moto G9 Plus sells for less than $300 in the currently supported regions. Sounds great, but is everything just as good as it sounds on paper?

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

The original company Motorola Inc was split up in 2011. Motorola Mobility got the smartphone division and was taken over by Google in 2012 and Lenovo in 2014.
The company is known for its cell phones and other electronic devices such as smartwatches, tablets and accessories. Motorola was one of the first companies to produce cell phones, and in recent years has also innovated in the areas of 5G technology and modular smartphones (Moto Mods). Motorola is also active in public safety and professional communications, providing solutions for government agencies, businesses and other organizations. The company has operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America and employs more than 10,000 people worldwide.
74.4%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
