The Moto G9 has been launched at Rs. 11,499 which is a competitive price for what it offers. Motorola has got the software experience right with the Moto G9, and I wasn't bothered by spammy notifications on this device. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC provides decent enough performance to keep the average user happy, but it could leave power users wanting for more. I would have preferred a full-HD+ resolution display, but very few new smartphones now offer this at such a low price, with the Redmi Note 9 (Review) being one such exception. If you are looking for better performance on a budget, you could consider spending a little more and going for the Realme 6i (Review) instead.

The Moto G9 runs Android 10 and has the July Android security patch. I like the UI on the Moto G9 as it is very close to stock Android. There are no preinstalled apps, but Motorola has added features such as Moto Actions which are quite handy. Gesture-based navigation is enabled by default but you can go back to the traditional three button layout if you aren't comfortable. Overall, the software is clean and should appeal to people who don't want preinstalled apps on their phones.

Motorola Moto G9 Plus
The Motorola Moto G9 Plus is a mid-range smartphone that was released by Motorola recently. Like its predecessors, it is affordable but offers high performance and features. As far as the hardware specifications are concerned, the Motorola Moto G9 Plus is equipped with a Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730G (8 nm) processor, an LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 128 GB of ROM and 4 GB of RAM. The Moto G9 Plus is equipped with a 6.81-inch Full-HD+ display, which results in a bigger build. With a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels, it is okay in terms of sharpness and overall colour reproduction in the "Natural" screen-colour mode. The display is quite usable in a bright environment, all thanks to a maximum brightness of nearly 600 nits.
As for the camera, the smartphone uses a rear camera consisting of a quad-camera setup with a main 64MP sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Moto G9 Plus comes with the usual Motorola camera features, like Spot Color, Cutout, Cinemagraph, and so on. There is also a dedicated Night Vision camera mode included. One of the cool new and useful features on the Moto G9 Plus is called Power Touch: When double-tapping the power button, the user is quickly presented with a pop-up box containing up to six app shortcuts available right next to your fingertip. It is convenient to access favourite apps.
In terms of other specs, the Motorola Moto G9 Plus is equipped with a Li-Po 5,000 mAh battery, which easily makes it a two-day phone with regular to heavy usage. It also supports 30W fast-charger support. The Moto G9 Plus goes from 0% to 100% in just 81 minutes (an hour and 21 minutes), all thanks to the 30W TurboPower charger. As for the operating system, the device is based on Android 10. For connectivity, it supports Wifi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps and LTE-A. The thickness of the phone is 9.7 mm, and the weight amounts to 223 g. In conclusion, the Moto G9 Plus is a pretty decent phone at a budget price. It has great performance, an accurate and bright display, and excellent battery life. It is suitable for people who want a decent smartphone running stock Android.

Motorola is launching the Moto G9 Plus, a new mid-range smartphone with a large 5,000 mAh battery and a dedicated Google Assistant button. The 6.8-inch Max Vision display of the affordable Moto phone reveals not only advantages in our review though - especially in terms of brightness.

The Moto G9 Plus is for the most part an amazing value phablet. But with Motorola having released the higher specced, more future proof Moto G 5G Plus mere weeks ago, it sits in an awkward position in the Western market.

We appreciated the large screen and the very good main camera, and the Snapdragon 730G still holds up pretty well. The large battery with fast charging is quite competitive, too. Even though there is no sign of the G7 Plus' premium build and loud stereo speakers, the G9 Plus appears to be positioned quite well feature/price-wise and we're happy to give it our recommendation.

Motorola’s mid-range advances in late 2020 began with the humble Moto G9 Play, but it’s the Moto G9 Plus that’s arguably its most intriguing new affordable device. At first glance, it has it all: a large display, a large battery, and a not-too-shabby mid-range chipset, as well as a multitude of versatile cameras. All of that has a pretty decent price tag attached to it: the Moto G9 Plus sells for less than $300 in the currently supported regions. Sounds great, but is everything just as good as it sounds on paper?

Motorola Moto G9 Play
The Motorola Moto G9 Play has entered the market merely six months after the release of the Moto G8, but it has already started creating name for its own. In terms of its design, Motorola has mixed up the formula again, most notably when it comes to the rear camera placement. The rear cameras are now situated in a neat square in the top-centre portion of the phone, the three cameras and LED flash module are spaced evenly apart in a 2x2 grid, with a sensibly-placed circular fingerprint reader sitting just underneath and the Motorola “M” logo etched onto it. The placement certainly looks tidy compared to the Moto G8’s somewhat clumsy camera placement. On the front, the Moto G9 Play has a simple teardrop notch nibbling its way into the top-centre portion of the screen and housing the 8MP front-facing camera. Apart from that, it should be noted that the phone comes in two colour variations, namely Sapphire Blue and Forest Green.
The 6.5-inch screen display of the Moto G9 Play is mostly bezel-free, with slim black bars across the top and side edges, although there is a comparatively chunky chin bezel at the bottom. The build quality is somewhat impressive, and its hardy construction is reminiscent of much pricier handsets with minimal flex or bending when placed under pressure. However, the Moto G9 Play does not have a protective layer of Gorilla Glass on either the front or back, nor does it have any official IP-rated dust or water ingress protection.
The Moto G9 Play is a bit out-dated in the display department, as the likes of Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung offer Full-HD handsets in this price bracket, whereas the Moto G9 Play simply makes do with a 720 x 1,600 (HD+) IPS panel stretched across a large 6.5in screen. This is definitely a drawback for a phone at this price range. Apart from that, the Moto G9 Play uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, which, from a technical standpoint, is pretty much identical to the Snapdragon 665 that powered the Moto G8. They are both octa-core processors clocked at 2 GHz and built on an 11nm fabrication process. The comparisons between the two phones do not stop there either, as the Moto G9 Play also has 4 GB of RAM, alongside 64 GB of expandable storage.
As for the cameras, the Moto G9 Play uses a triple-camera array on the rear. The primary snapper has 48 MP, followed by a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth-sensing unit. In terms of its battery, this phone has been equipped with a massive 5,000mAh battery for user convenience. While the phone does carry some notable improvements over the Moto G8, the choice of owning one is subjective.

With the Moto G9 Play, Motorola brings a new edition of its affordable mid-range cell phone and returns to the traditional naming schma A large battery and a triple camera are supposed to set the Moto G9 Play apart from the competition. Let's see if that works.

If you’re after a budget device, there’s plenty of options out there. The G9 Play comes in at $299 with good value, but the competition includes the OPPO A52, which has a significantly better display for the same price, and adding an extra $50 to your budget puts you in range of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, which offers a properly impressive camera for its price, a better screen resolution and twice as much storage.

The Motorola G9 (Play) is a low-end phone, and it's unrealistic to expect game-changing performance from it. Still, the handset is equipped well enough to stand its ground against most of its competitors mainly because of its price advantage. We think it would fare much better in the US where competition is even more limited.

Motorola has a prominent presence in the entry-level and mid-range markets, where the variety of One and G-series devices can suit every taste and satisfy almost any need. True to this mantra, Motorola once again nailed it with the Moto G9 Play. Even more battery for less money; that is the concept of Motorola's Moto G9 Power. Compared with the predecessor, it has been improved in some areas, but corners have been cut in others too. We'll see if it's enough for it to be a convincing mid-range phone this year as well.

The Moto G9 Power is going to appeal if you want a budget phone with a big screen and a battery that lasts and lasts. Apart from the price and the battery, there's not a whole lot that excels about this handset, but it's still one of the best phones on the market for this low a price.

The Motorola Moto G9 Power comes with a big 6000 mAh battery that gets the job done quite well when it comes to autonomy, showing particularly good strength in our on-the-go tests and in making phone calls. The sticking point is its charger: while nominally 20W, which should be enough to power up the battery quicker, its actual measured flow-through measured between 15W and 17.5W in our tests. Were it not for its sub-par charging and efficiency scores, the Moto G9 Power would be higher in the rankings than it is.

That's a shame because the Moto G9 Power hits the nail squarely on the head in other areas. It’s well-priced, has solid performance and a battery that just won’t quit. There are just a few things that hold it back from greatness. If you’re willing to compromise on video capture and display quality, though, you’ll likely find a competent and reliable budget smartphone in the Moto G9 Power. With one of the longest-lasting batteries we’ve ever tested, the Moto G9 Power is well worth the price of admission – just don’t expect it to necessarily impress elsewhere.

But you can have a phenomenal battery life, smooth UI, great photo quality for the primary camera, and enough punch to play a game or two. And you get everything wrapped in a nice looking plastic body with basic water protection. These seem like enough to warrant our Moto G9 Power recommendation if it fits your budget and your priorities.

Just by retaining the long-lasting battery of the Moto G7 Power, the Moto G Power was already in the conversation for a must-have device for budget-conscious shoppers. But this phone isn't just counting on its longevity to win you over. It also performs well enough to meet the needs of the average smartphone user, and the cameras — while not the best you can find on a budget device — produced some pretty eye-catching shots during our testing for the Moto G Power review.

Motorola has shown remarkable focus in creating a phone with the potential to go on for days on a single charge. The sacrifices made to achieve this goal in terms of form factor and display quality, however, should probably prompt most people to look elsewhere.

If you are looking for a phone that has a big screen, a huge battery, a decent processor, and an impressive camera, your search ends right here. I don’t know of a phone that performs as well as the Moto G9 Power at a price point of Rs 11,499. Despite being a budget smartphone, the company has not cut corners. It in fact offers more than the price it charges from the buyers. Plus, the phone looks and feels premium so would not even feel that you are using a sub-12,000 phone. So go for it without any doubt if budget is a constraint, you will be pleasantly surprised.

A gear change for the series: battery life has increased and the price lowered compared to its predecessor. As a result, however, the screen is a noticeably low resolution, while the processing and graphical power is limited - but not to the point it's problematic. So if you're looking for a long-lasting handset to buy outright on a SIM-only contract then you'll struggle to find much else that can compete.

Motorola: Founded in 1928, the US-based company mainly focuses on communication technology such as smartphones. The original company Motorola Inc was split up in 2011. Motorola Mobility got the smartphone division and was taken over by Google in 2012 and Lenovo in 2014.
The company is known for its cell phones and other electronic devices such as smartwatches, tablets and accessories. Motorola was one of the first companies to produce cell phones, and in recent years has also innovated in the areas of 5G technology and modular smartphones (Moto Mods). Motorola is also active in public safety and professional communications, providing solutions for government agencies, businesses and other organizations. The company has operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America and employs more than 10,000 people worldwide.

73.53%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
