There have been rumors of a Google Pixel Watch right from the time the Mountain View-based company launched its first Pixel smartphone back in October 2016. Since then, the rumors have come and gone, but it is looking increasingly likely we will see a Google Pixel Watch launch later this year alongside the Pixel 6 and Pixel 5a. One that is almost guaranteed is that the Pixel Watch will be powered by the ubiquitous Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 and Google’s own Wear OS.
What the Pixel Watch will look like, however, is open to much more conjecture. Tipster Jon Prosser has been having a tough time of it lately, having to shave his eyebrows off after his prediction of an Apple product even on March 23 failed to come to fruition. He also seems to have been only half right with his claim that the Pixel 5a had been cancelled with Google responding to the claim by saying it will in fact launch. However, other sources suggest it might be cancelled in most markets due to chip shortages except for the US and Japan.
Despite this recent patchy record, Prosser has collaborated with @RendersBylan to create an unofficial render of what Prosser has heard through his sources that the Pixel Watch will look like. What we see is a very stripped back design that features a circular dial and a single button on the side. Although rather pared back, it looks like it will be a simple, but elegant design. The way the Watch band connects directly to the device is also a little reminiscent of the original Moto 360 smartwatch, but slimmer.
