Deal | New Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 already discounted to $1409 USD with 11th gen Core i5, 16 GB RAM, and 16:10 IPS display
Lenovo is currently hosting a sale on its 2021 ThinkPad X1 Carbon with the latest Intel Tiger Lake-U CPU. Users must apply the coupon code 'THINKSHOWER' at checkout to see the final price. The Evo-certified laptop is most notable for its 16:10 aspect ratio display as opposed to the usual 16:9 on most other systems in the market.
Other key features include Windows 10 Pro instead of Home, a relatively bright 400-nit IPS display, 16 GB of RAM, and Thunderbolt 4 support. There's no question that this is a loaded high-end Ultrabook even for the sale price of $1400 USD.
Unfortunately, we've yet to review this laptop and so we can't share any personal experiences. Based on our time with last year's 2020 model, however, users will likely appreciate the speakers and keyboard while despising the limited upgradeability and lack of both RJ-45 and an SD card reader. Users should also keep in mind the short one-year limited warranty and that the sale configuration does not include WAN.
