Creative Technology has already unveiled its next new product, following the SXFI AIR GAMER's announcement earlier this week. Now, the company has launched the Sound Blaster GC7; its latest DAC targeted at gamers, streamers and content creators.
The Sound Blaster GC7 features Creative's Sound Blaster audio processing and the company's Super X-Fi headphone holography. The DAC itself supports up to 24-bit, and 192 kHz PCM and can power 32-300 Ohm headphones. According to the manufacturer, the DAC has a sub-2 Ohm headphone output impedance and has a -120 dB low noise floor.
Creative Technology has equipped the Sound Blaster GC7 with a USB Type-C connector, a 3.5 mm 3-pole mic-in, a 3.5 mm 4-pole headset-in and 3.5 mm line-in/line-out connections. Additionally, the DAC has optical input and output connections.
The Sound Blaster GC7 is also compatible with PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch PS4 and PS5. The DAC has many customisable options, along with two large dials for altering in-game and microphone volumes. Creative Technology insists that the DAC can be operated with one hand, should you need to make quick adjustments when gaming or streaming.
Creative sells the Sound Blaster GC7 for US$169.99, but the DAC is available outside of the US, too. The Sound Blaster GC7 is shipping now and comes with free shipping.
