Super quiet. Is $550 enough for a decent laptop these days? The new Inspiron 15 3511 comes with the 11th gen Core i5 CPU to make it nearly as fast as most pricier Ultrabooks, but you'll have to live with a handful of cut corners including the lack of even a USB-C port.

OLED gaming. The Core i7-11800H CPU and GeForce RTX 3080 mobile GPU complement the bright, high-contrast 4K OLED screen well and are able to run all current titles smoothly. The GPU comes with 16 GB of video memory. Another plus: The laptop integrates a Thunderbolt 4 port.

More a workstation than a gaming laptop. Like its 15-inch sibling model, the new XMG Pro 17 also comes in an ultra-slim case, while still bringing an RTX 3080. New look, old processor. The InBook X2 is 20 percent lighter and 13 percent smaller than last year's InBook X1 Pro and with additional QoL updates such as a keyboard backlight and brighter display. There are some downgrades nonetheless that users ought to be aware of.

Ryzen 7 and 16:10. Lenovo equips the compact ThinkBook 13s G3, now in its third generation, with AMD's mobile Ryzen processors (Zen 3), which offer a lot of performance. Together with the 16:10 display, you get an exciting package for around 1,000 Euros.

Stability and features over performance. The B360 is one of the few 13.3-inch rugged laptops in the market, but it doesn't skimp on accessible features or display quality. However, its use of an older Comet Lake-U processor means owners will be missing out on the more advanced features of Intel Tiger Lake.

Mobile all-rounder. Due to its small dimensions and low weight, the MagicBook View 14 is ideal for mobile use. Despite its compact size, the 14-incher also features a powerful processor. A high-resolution touch display handles image reproduction.

YayyMD Advantage! The MSI Alpha 15 is one among the handful of AMD Advantage gaming laptops available. Powered by the Ryzen 7 5800H and Radeon RX 6600M, the Alpha 15 comes with the promise of achieving 100 fps at 1080p High in modern games. We find this to be largely true, giving laptops with the Core i7-11800H and the RTX 3060 a run for their money. However, there are areas where MSI had to compromise in order to strike a balance between price and performance.
