Acer announces Predator Triton 14 with new Mini-LED display option, Intel i7-13700H CPU and up to an RTX 4070 dGPU
Acer is refreshing the Predator Triton gaming laptop lineup with Intel's Raptor Lake processors and Nvidia's RTX 4000 mobile dGPUs. First to get the updated specs is the small but powerful Predator Triton 14 (PT14-51) equipped with an Intel Core i7-13700H processor and either an RTX 4050 or 4070 dGPU. This model also supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5-6000 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage.
Besides the regular 14-inch IPS display options with 1200p or 1600p resolutions and 165 Hz refresh rate, Acer is now including a new Mini-LED screen with 2,560 x 1,600 and 250 Hz, which is significantly brighter at 600 nits and thus gets a DisplayHDR 600 certificate. All three options feature 100 % DCI-P3 color gamut and 3 ms response time.
An advanced cooling system is also provided, featuring the 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan technology with Vortex Flow airflow optimization and liquid metal thermal solution. The chassis is up to 0.78 inches (19.9 mm)in thickness, while the system weighs around 3.75 lbs (1.7 kg).
Port selection includes 1x Thunderbolt 4 connector, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, an HDMI 2.1 video out and an audio jack plus an microSD card reader on the front edge. Wireless connectivity is offered through an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i card with BT 5.3. DTS X:Ultra audio processing and a 76 Wh battery round out the specs.
The Acer Predator Triton 14 (PT14-51) is expected to see availability this June with a starting price of €1,999 in Germany.
