Acer has introduced the Predator Triton 17 X, one of many laptops that it has announced today. As its name suggests, the Predator Triton 17 X is a high-end unit that Acer hopes will interest creators and gamers. Specifically, the Predator Triton 17 X relies on the Intel Core i9-13900HX, a Raptor Lake-based processor with 24 cores, 32 threads and a 5.4 GHz peak clock speed.
While the Core i9-13900HX offers exceptional CPU performance, its UHD Graphics 770 iGPU is not powerful enough for modern triple-A games. To that end, Acer has also equipped the Predator Triton 17 X with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, an AD103-based graphics card with 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM at its disposal. Additionally, the Predator Triton 17 X has 64 GB DDR5-5600 RAM and 4 TB of storage arranged in RAID 0.
Moreover, Acer equips the Predator Triton 17 X with a 17-inch display that outputs at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to Acer, the panel operates at up to 250 Hz and delivers 1,000 nits peak brightness thanks to the use of Mini-LED backlights. All these powerful components sit within a CNC-milled unibody housing, as our photos and YouTube Shorts video below show. Acer will start selling the Predator Triton 17 X (PTX17-71) from June, starting at €4,299.
