Deal | 2023 Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 price drops to all-time low at Best Buy

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 gaming laptop has dropped to its lowest price ever after a hefty 30% discount at Best Buy. The laptop can now be had for only US$1,099.99 as opposed to the US$1,579.99 retail price, resulting in savings of US$480 (via slickdeals).

The Predator Helios Neo 16 is Acer’s mid-range gaming laptop as shown by the components on offer. The unit on sale is powered by a 16-core Core i7-13700HX CPU, an RTX 4060 laptop GPU, 16 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of SSD storage. Around the front, the laptop features a spacious 16-inch IPS panel with a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. Acer claims the display covers 100% of the sRGB gamut and features 500 nits of brightness.

While we haven’t reviewed the Predator Helios Neo 16, we did get to put the Helios 16 through its paces which rocked the same Core i7-13700HX and RTX 4060 combo as the Helios Neo 16.

In our testing, the Core i7-13700HX and RTX 4060 combo displayed excellent mid-range prowess and earned a performance rating of 95.5 points. If Acer has outfitted the Predator Helios Neo 16 with a comparable cooling solution as the Helios 16, the laptop should be powerful enough to handle CPU-demanding tasks as well as graphically intensive games at FHD. For instance, the Helios 16 played games like Cyberpunk 2077 (1.6), God of War, and Returnal at 93, 65, and 67 FPS respectively.

All in all, the Predator Helios Neo 16 should make for a pretty decent mid-range gaming laptop thanks to powerful hardware and the massive discount.
