Samsung Exynos 9825 officially announced

Thanks to the new 7 nm EUV manufacturing process, the Exynos 9825 is expected to match and even surpass Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855. The exact core clocks for the new SoC will be revealed with the launch inf the galaxy Note 10. Due to it not integrating a 5G modem or LPDDR5 support, the Exynos 9825 is definitely not a new generation chip, and more like a revision of the original Exynos 9820.

OPPO has allegedly registered a new phone design with the World Intellectual Property Office. As with the Find X, this device hides its front-facing sensors behind an edge-to-edge screen. Samsung has generally offered its flagships in two flavors: Snapdragon in North America, Latin America, and China, and Exynos for the rest of the world. New report shows that premium phones are getting more popular in India

The Indian smartphone market as a whole saw some growth in Q2 2019 but it's the premium segment of the market that really offered a surprise, with sales of devices in that segment rising by 33% year-on-year. That growth was likely due to the immense success of the OnePlus 7 phones, and deals on the Galaxy S10 and iPhone XR.

Famed leakster Ice Universe tweeted photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ in the wild that were forwarded by an unknown leaker and interestingly, they seem to be taken by what could be the iPhone XR 2019 that is reflected in the Note 10+'s screen. The Galaxy Note 10+'s photo looks to be the real deal and seems to be in line with what we've been expecting so far, but it's authenticity cannot be verified at this time.

Realme sees an 848% increase in its global smartphone shipments compared to this time last year

The OPPO sub-brand Realme's volume of smartphone shipments worldwide has increased from approximately 500,000 in the 2nd quarter of 2018 (2Q2018) to about 4.7 million in 2Q2019. In other words, this has grown 8.48 times year-on-year (YoY). Its parent company also remains in the top 5 OEMs worldwide, although Samsung still remains supreme.
