Realme Gamepad design patent leaked and it looks just like the OPPO C1 Gamepad
A Realme Gamepad design patent has been shared online by the_tech_guy. The leaker posted an image of the smartphone accessory (see below), which reveals at least four different colors for the Realme Gamepad: yellow, blue, black, and red. As has been pointed out, the design is practically identical to that of the OPPO C1 Gamepad. The image of the Realme accessory was found on the Chinese Patent Office site (CNIPA).
It’s not surprising that a Realme Gamepad would look the same as the OPPO C1 Gamepad, as both companies belong to the BBK Electronics conglomerate. The revelation of the design patent leads to further speculation that Realme is planning on launching a true gaming smartphone in the near future to take on rival devices such as the Asus ROG Phone 3 and Nubia RedMagic 5G.
Realme already has the X50 Pro Player Edition smartphone in its product lineup, which is a gaming-focused adaptation of the Realme X50 Pro. The Player Edition has a liquid cooling system and is slightly slimmer than the regular X50 Pro but the camera setup is reduced as a consequence. The Realme Gamepad features a control stick, touchpad buttons, and a lanyard for safer holding during mobile gaming sessions.
