Exhilarating. The Intel Core i9-12900H, which is already powerful on its own, is not only supported by Nvidia's premium graphics card. The extensive connectivity and a very distinct cooling system also indicate that the laptop is striving for the highest performance. However, Schenker probably has another reason for calling the laptop a gaming workstation, and this also became noticeable in our review.

The most powerful XPS 13 yet. The XPS 13 has been a very good subnotebook for years and Dell now offers two versions, which are not only different in terms of CPU selection. How does the new XPS 13 Plus with the 4K panel, frameless touchpad and completely new keyboard including touch bar perform in our review?

Revamped Swift 3. The compact Acer Swift X 16 is suitable for mobile gaming in Full HD thanks to Nvidia's RTX 3050 and its 16-inch panel. Whether the 16:9 can perform in multimedia applications is revealed in our review. After all, Acer advertises complete sRGB color space coverage.

The XPAKtor. The model can support up to four individual expansion cards in order to meet the various demands of police officers, utility companies, and other public sector working conditions. Panasonic is banking on versatility to better distinguish the Toughbook series from others.

Intel Alder Lake with the brakes applied. Until now, the MateBook D 16 has always been an affordable multimedia laptop with AMD CPUs, but the new 2022 model uses an Alder Lake processor from Intel. However, this only runs with the brakes applied, and the price has also increased to 1299 Euros (~$1311).

Prosumer status. Having already cracked the gaming space, MSI is continuing its efforts to carve into the lucrative office and business segment with its Summit series of prosumer devices. The Summit E14 Flip is one of the best models in its family thus far with build quality rivaling that of bigger OEMs.

Weaknesses in the details. With the Inspiron 15 Plus, Dell offers a sleek and compact multimedia laptop that is suitable for all kinds of purposes. We took a detailed look at the 15-inch laptop.

Weak version. We have already reviewed the Lenovo ThinkPad X12 Detachable with i7, and now we will update our review of the i3 version. There is one thing to say in advance: we cannot recommend the CPU downgrade to the i3.

Intel 12th gen Core i7 HX debut. The 110 W Core i7-12800HX CPU isn't pulling any punches. Power consumption is certainly high, but the gains are well worth it especially for the target audience of enthusiasts and performance hunters.

Robust mobile companion. The affordable HP ProBook 445 G8 is a 14-inch office laptop with many strengths. Very good portability meets strong AMD Ryzen performance. Read on to find out whether the competition is able to keep up.

Powerhouse. With a Core i9-12900HX and a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, the MSI laptop offers enough performance for 4K gaming, video editing, and rendering. In fact, it often reaches the best benchmark results we have seen from this GPU so far.

Transition to Intel is expensive. Huawei has now furnished the multimedia notebook MateBook 16 with an Intel processor and calls it the MateBook 16s. Buyers also get a Thunderbolt 4 port, a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 6E module, and a bit more key travel. Other than that, there isn't much of a difference. Does that justify a price increase of 500 Euro (US$510)?

Affordable and high-quality. In our laptop test, HP's affordable ZBook Power 15 G8 with Intel's Core i7-11800H shows a good but inconsistent workstation performance. Our test unit comes with an Nvidia T600 and scores with a very good battery life, excellent input devices, and bright FDH panel.

A Win-Win situation. The Win Max 2 is trying to be a lot of things at once for gamers, artists, office workers, and students. To our surprise, it actually works very well on all fronts to be a huge improvement over the original Win Max thanks to both design improvements and Intel's new 12th gen CPU.

Water games. Users of powerful 15-inch gamers often have to live with high temperatures and noise levels. While laptop components are becoming increasingly efficient, it will probably be a while yet before gaming is possible on silent and cool high-performance laptops. Perhaps Schenker thought it was time for some practical interim solutions and so decided to experiment by creating a gaming laptop with an optional, liquid cooling system, the XMG Oasis.
