A high-end business 2-in-1 for high earners: HP EliteBook X Flip G1i review

The Western Digital SDEPNSJ-1T00-1006 is a 1-terabyte M.2 22 by 80 NVMe SSD and a close enough relative of the SN5000S SDEQNSJ-1T00. SN5000S series drives were launched in March 2024 in 2230 and 2280 sizes and 512 GB to 2 TB capacities.
The PCIe 4 x4 SSD seemingly has no DRAM cache ans is supposed to deliver sequential read rates up to 6,000 MB/s (writes: 5,400 MB/s) at a power consumption of no more than 6.5 W. The TBW value is fairly standard at 300.
CrystalDiskMark believes the SSD performs slightly better than what Western Digital promises; AS SSD is far less optimistic. Generally speaking, this is a lower mid-range PCIe 4 SSD as of early 2025. Higher-end models have no trouble crossing the 7 GB/s barrier both for reads and writes.
