The Western Digital SN5000S SDEPNSJ-2T00-1032 is a PCIe 4 x4 NVMe SSD and a close relative of the SDEPNSJ-2T00-1006, an SSD that we have encountered in the past.

The SN5000S series was launched in H1 2024.

Performance

While hardly record-breaking, its performance good enough. Rather peculiar is the fact that its sequential write rates (4.47 GB/s - AS SSD) are a whopping 90% faster than sequential reads.
