Samsung PM9E1 MZVLC512HFJD

The Samsung MZVLC512HFJD is a 512-GB PM9E1 series SSD. PM9E1 drives debuted in H2 2024 as PCIe 5 NVMe storage available in a variety of flavors, like the 2-TB MZVLC2T0HBLD or the 1-TB MZVLC1T0HFLU.
Performance
For an upper-mid-range product, let alone a premium one, the 22 by 80 drive delivers fairly unimpressive sequential read and write rates of 5.32 GB/s and 3.46 GB/s (tested using AS SSD in December 2025). The 1-TB sister model isn't a whole lot faster, but the 2-TB one is.
