The Samsung SSD PM9A1 1TB RAID 0 is a combination of two MZVL21T0HCLR M.2 2280 SSDs in RAID 0. Therefore, it offers 2 TB disk space, but when one drive fails, all data will be lost. The Samsung OEM Client SSD PM9A1 1TB, M.2 (MZVL21T0HCLR, OEM variant of the 980 Pro) is a fast M.2 2280 SSD which supports PCIe 4.0 x4. It uses the Samsung Elpis (S4LV003) Controller with 8 channels and 512 MB LPDDR4. The memory modules are from Samsung (3D-NAND TLC 136 layers). As both drives are running all the time, the power consumption doubles compared to a single PM9A1.
