The Kioxia BG6 KBG6AZNV512G is an affordable 512-gigabyte M.2 22 by 80 SSD. A smaller 22 by 30 size version of the NVMe PCIe 4 x4 drive exists as well.
The BG6 series was unveiled in May 2023. Kioxia's press material states the 512-GB model consumes around 4.7 W when in use, or less.
Performance
4.8 GB/s sequential reads and 4.0 GB/s writes are what Kioxia claims. AS SSD disagrees, with 3.69 GB/s and 2.36 GB/s recorded, respectively. The 30-mm sister model is even slower, albeit not by much.
