PC801 HFS512GEJ9X110N

The SK hynix HFS512GEJ9X110N is a PC801 series PCIe 4 x4 NVMe SSD that never received an official launch. It appears the product was quietly released some time in H1 2024.

The M.2 22 by 80 type drive is powered by Silicon Motion's SM2269XTF AB controller, just like certain AData Gammix S70 series SSDs.

Performance

AS SSD testing reveals fairly underwhelming read and write rates of 3.7 GB/s and 2.9 GB/s, respectively that one would expect to see from a higher-end PCIe 3 SSD rather than a modern PCIe 4 SSD. Laptop Media got slightly better scores in its 2024 testing.
