Aqara’s Touchscreen Switch S100 has been certified as a Matter compatible device by the Connectivity Standards Alliance. This smart home switch, which can be used to control wired lights and a range of smart home devices, was unveiled at CES 2025. Plus, a recent report provides details about this product’s launch.

The Xiaomi Smart Home Screen 8 PTZ Edition has been announced in China. This smart home product appears to feature a display and a speaker, like older models. What makes it unique is the built-in PTZ camera, which sits on the top of the device. We also know that it will support Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, though its full feature set has yet to be revealed.

The Philips Hue Bridge Pro has leaked on the brand’s website. This new model is said to be faster than the standard variant, with support for a greater number of connected smart home products. Plus, it will offer a new MotionAware feature to turn smart lights into motion detectors.

Launching in August 2025, it will feature the Super Xiao AI assistant and HyperOS Connect.

Eufy has released a new Wi-Fi Repeater accessory in countries worldwide. Compatible with many of the brand’s smart security cameras and video doorbells, it is said to extend Wi-Fi coverage for boosted performance. Plus, there is an integrated chime with various tones and adjustable volume.

PQShield expands post-quantum cryptography hardware with UltraPQ-Suite and PQPlatform-TrustSys, building on its 2024 NIST-approved silicon debut.

Yeelight, a Xiaomi ecosystem brand, is currently crowdfunding for the T1 Smart Track Socket in China. The Govee Outdoor Pathway Lights 2 are about to launch in the US. These new smart lights have two light sources for daily and ambient lighting, with a range of dynamic colored lighting effects. Plus, they are said to offer enhanced waterproofing and support for Matter 1.3, allowing integration with many smart home ecosystems.

The Home Assistant 2025.8 release is here. This version brings several AI-related tools to users, including an AI task function which can be used to delegate work to an AI assistant. Plus, there is a new Suggest with AI button, and OpenRouter and Volvo vehicle integrations with this release.

TRMNL has released a new smart e-ink display. The TRMNL X is a larger version of the original device, with a faster refresh rate and waterproof enclosure. The Xiaomi Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier 1200G has been launched in China. Said to deliver hot water on demand, it comes with two separate water tanks to purify and heat water. Plus, there is a smart faucet with an integrated display and support for remote controls via the Xiaomi app.

Xiaomi has released the Mijia Air Conditioner Healthy Wind 1.5HP in China. It arrives as a cheaper alternative to another model released earlier this year. As well as heating and cooling, this smart home product also offers air purification, with the current air quality indicated through a colored light.

Mammotion has launched the new Yuka mini Vision robot lawn mower in Europe. This model is said to be particularly quick to set up as it does not need a boundary wire or RTK. The three onboard cameras are said to offer precise obstacle avoidance, edge detection and accurate navigation in low lighting.

The T-Satellite cooperation of T-Mobile with SpaceX will soon see its Starlink satellite connectivity service support various Internet of Things devices. One such example is already operational, with bees being monitored from afar via Starlink.

Netgear has launched a new WiFi mesh solution that supposedly provides high-performance internet access for large apartments or homes, with Ethernet connectivity also supported. Although the Orbi 370 is a WiFi 7 system, it does come with certain limitations.

This new flagship model boasts up to 23,000 Pa suction power and is also said to offer the brand’s most powerful AI cleaning assistant to date. Other features included a lowering sensor tower, lifting brushes and mops, and support for HyperOS connect.

Tapo has launched the C246D Dual Lens 2K Pan Tilt Security Camera in the US and Europe. Designed for outdoor or indoor use, this model has a static wide angle camera and a second pan-tilt camera. Features include multiple night vision modes, free smart notifications, and support for Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

The Home Assistant companion app for Android devices was recently updated to version 2025.7. With this release, users get a new invite flow as well as improvements to the My Links feature. In an accompanying blog post, the company also mentions to upcoming changes, including ending support for some users.

The Philips Hue app version 5.47 update is currently rolling out to users. This product is designed for use with one of the brand’s smart bulbs, which requires a transformer to operate safely. However, this could be an expensive option, given that the Philips Hue MR16 bulbs are compatible with other transformers.

TCL has unveiled a new smart home gadget, the D2 Pro smart door lock, in the US. TCL’s new smart home accessory comes with AI-powered palm vein recognition that is advertised as being able to open the door in just 0.3 seconds. Home Assistant’s 2025.7 release has arrived for users. This latest version of the smart home automation software brings a new Ask Question action, allowing the voice assistant to ask users questions. The SwitchBot Hub 3 is now certified as a “Works with Apple Home” device. On top of this, the company has announced a new Smart Schedule feature for this smart home hub, which is currently in beta testing. The tool allows users to automate their climate control system based on their habits.

The database entry reveals a few details about this new smart home device. It appears to have similar features to the brand’s older Outdoor Laser Projector Lights.
