An alternative operating system is intended to breathe life into older smartwatches. A new version is now available and adds new features and comes with a mix of major and minor changes.

Garmin has launched a new update for many of its high-end smartwatches. Available globally, the update is the second v26.xx firmware and replaces the company's recent Beta Version 26.02 release for the Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro and other smartwatches.

Amazfit smartwatch users can now download a trio of new Mini Apps. This latest drop includes a popular app allowing you to view heart rate data in real time, as well as pool and brain training games. According to the Zepp OS Mini App chart, Remotify remains the most popular app for users of Amazfit’s wearables.

A new Garmin smartwatch update, software version 13.26, is rolling out to some users. It brings new health and workout related features for some long distance drivers. Plus, there are fixes for issues linked to third-party devices, and an issue which could cause these wearables to crash has been resolved.

Garmin has now released a new update to many of its high-end smartwatches. The first truly new stable update in months, System Software 21.25 contains almost two-dozen new features, improvements and bug fixes. All are available across Fenix E, Fenix 8, Enduro 3 and Quatix 8 series smartwatches.

The new Reebok Rush smartwatch has been listed on the brand’s US website. Arriving as the cheapest model in the range, it shares many similarities with the recently released Reebok Stride watch. These include assisted GPS, support for smart notifications and a Strava integration.

A new Huawei smartwatch update is on the way to some models.
