Vivo Watch 6 with sapphire glass and stylish Buds Clip launching alongside X500 series

As Vivo announced on Weibo (on Chinese), the company is expanding the X500 series launch event with two new companions for the wrist and ears. The Vivo Watch 6 and Vivo Buds Clip will be officially unveiled on September 21, 2026 at 7:00 AM EDT. Initial teasers suggest that the focus will not only be on technology, but above all on a more premium appearance.
According to Vivo, the Watch 6 will feature a thin and lightweight case as well as a display with sapphire glass. The manufacturer is also promising upgrades to its running and cycling features. Further technical specifications remain unknown for now. The Weibo comments also mention a 43 mm diameter. This figure reportedly comes from brick-and-mortar retailers, but has not yet been confirmed by Vivo.
The Buds Clip are open-ear earbuds that attach to the side of the ear – similar to the Huawei FreeClip and FreeClip 2. The shimmering surface features a mother-of-pearl texture designed to look different depending on how the light hits it. Vivo is therefore positioning the earbuds more as a fashion accessory than traditional headphones focused primarily on technology. Details on sound quality, battery life or pricing are still unavailable.
Reactions under the Chinese announcement post are largely positive. The sapphire glass, colors and choice of materials have been well received. Some users see this as a long-overdue move away from purely functional fitness wearables toward genuine premium products. However, the new direction is not without reservations: The clip-on format is unlikely to appeal to everyone, and several commenters hope that the more stylish design will not come with an excessively high price tag.
