Vivo V80 leaks ahead of launch with massive 7200 mAh battery

Earlier this month, Vivo officially unveiled the V80 Lite - the successor to the V50 Lite, featuring a gigantic 10,000 mAh battery and a 6.83-inch 2.8K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Now, it appears that the vanilla V80 is also just around the corner. According to 91Mobiles, the smartphone is expected to launch sometime in the first week of October.

The publication also stated that the V80 will be equipped with a 7,200 mAh battery, which is a sizeable improvement over its predecessor, the Vivo V70's 6,500 mAh battery. Any other hardware details are unclear as of this writing. 

For context, the V70 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260 by 2750, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, and up to 512 GB storage and 12 GB RAM. The FE80, therefore, is expected to be at least as good in terms of raw specifications. 

According to 91mobiles, the smartphone is also slated to feature an AI creative camera mode with 30 or so effects, much like the one found on the Vivo X300 FE. Moreover, the publication also stated that the Vivo V80 is likely to ship with OriginOS 7 right out of the box, which is based on Android 17.
