Trump Mobile quietly hiked the T1 Phone's price from $499 to $749—a 50 percent increase despite no corresponding hardware changes—joining Apple and others in passing rising memory chip costs on to buyers.

Trump Mobile has raised the price of its T1 Phone from $499 to $749, quietly updating its website without making a formal announcement about the $250 increase.

The Trump T1 is currently listed for $749 on Trump Mobile's website

The T1 Phone launched in June after a delayed rollout, originally priced at $499. At $749, it now costs 50 percent more than it did at launch, putting it above devices like the iPhone 17e even though nothing has changed under the hood. An iFixit teardown found that the T1's internals are nearly identical to those of the HTC U24 Pro, a midrange Android phone from 2024, aside from cosmetic tweaks and a different battery.

It turns out that even a phone with "Proudly American" branding isn't immune to the memory chip crunch. DRAM and NAND prices have been climbing industry-wide, and Apple raised prices across several lines earlier this month, too, adding roughly $100 to older iPhones still sold alongside the iPhone 17 lineup after already increasing iPad, MacBook, and Mac Studio prices in previous months. Other phone and PC makers have signaled that more increases are on the way as memory contracts are renewed.

Trump Mobile hasn't explained the change publicly. The T1 Phone is available now to ... interested buyers at trumpmobile.com for $749.
