Not only are the iPhone 18 Pro (Max) and the iPhone Duo very expensive, but Apple has also raised the prices today for the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17e, and the iPhone Air, meaning that last year’s base model now costs up to $1,099 in the Apple Store.

Apple today announced the brand-new iPhone 18 Pro (Max) and the iPhone Duo. The new top-of-the-line models cost well over $2,000 each in their highest storage configurations. The more affordable models, on the other hand, have not received successors – the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17e, and the iPhone Air will continue to be sold unchanged, and, according to rumors, new models won’t be released until spring 2027.

The fact that Apple is selling hardware that is, in some cases, a year old doesn’t prevent the company from significantly raising prices for all three models. The iPhone 17 is now $100 more expensive, meaning that even the most affordable base iPhone model now costs $899 in the Apple Store. Apple is now even charging $1,099 for the 512 GB version. The iPhone 17e, which is intended to serve as the budget model and still features an outdated 60 Hz OLED display with a notch, will cost at least $699 following the price increase.

The iPhone Air, with 256 GB and 512 GB of storage, sees a price increase of $100 each, while the 1 TB top-of-the-line model sees a price increase of $300, bringing its price to $1,699. All three models are currently available at lower prices in stores, especially refurbished. For example, a refurbished iPhone Air is currently priced at $809 on Amazon. In the Apple Store, however, the following prices are now in effect:

  • Apple iPhone 17 (256 GB): $899 (+$100)
  • Apple iPhone 17 (256 GB): $1,099 (+$100)

  • Apple iPhone 17e (256 GB): $699 (+$100)
  • Apple iPhone 17e (512 GB): $899 (+$100)

  • Apple iPhone Air (256 GB): $1,099 (+$100)
  • Apple iPhone Air (512 GB): $1,299 (+$100)
  • Apple iPhone Air (1 TB): $1,699 (+$300)
