Hori's Legend of Zelda anniversary edition products are cooler than Nintendo's

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, Nintendo announced a special edition Switch 2, Switch 2 Pro controller, and a Switch 2 carrying case. However, Nintendo isn't the only one celebrating the milestone with special edition products.

Hori, a popular third-party manufacturer of gaming accessories, has also joined the celebration with its own Zelda-themed products, and if you ask us, we'd say they'd turn more heads than Nintendo's products. There are also more accessories to choose from, compared to what Nintendo offers.

Hori's The Legend of Zelda collection is made up of five products, all of which will be released in November. The collection includes The Legend of Zelda-themed Wireless Horipad Turbo for Nintendo Switch 2, Hori Adventure Pack for Nintendo Switch 2, Hori Slim Tough Pouch for Nintendo Switch 2, Hori Compact Carry All for Nintendo Switch 2, and Hori Push Game Card Case.

The Wireless Horipad Turbo controller for Nintendo Switch 2 is white, but features the Triforce and Royal Family crest in gold on one side and circular golden patterns, one of which has a silhouette of Link and his horse, Epona, on the left. Both designs are layered atop a map of Hyrule that covers the controller.

The controller is no different from the standard version which is available in multiple colors ($40.49 on Amazon), including a Kirby edition and Cyberpunk 2077 edition. It is a wireless-only controller with TMR thumbsticks, multi-profile support, button lock, programmable back buttons, a dedicated C-button, gyro and accelerometer sensors, and up to 10 hours of battery life.

The Adventure Pack, Slim Tough Pouch, and Compact Carry All are made for carrying your Switch 2 and accessories. All of the aforementioned have a brown leather-like look adorned with the same crest on the controller and a silhouette of Link and his horse. There's also a golden game card case that has a small motif of Link and Epona. The case is designed to hold 6 game cards and have a push mechanism to eject the card.

Hori hasn't yet announced if these accessories will be available outside Japan. However, buyers can now pre-order them on its website. The Horipad Turbo Controller costs JPY 8,980 ($59/€51) while the Slim Tough Pouch is JPY 4,480 ($29/€25). The Adventure Pack is also available for JPY 4980 ($33/€28), the Compact Carry All is JPY 5,480 ($36/€31), and the push game card case has a price tag of JPY 1,780 (~$12/€10).
