Nintendo celebrates The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary with special edition Switch 2 and accessories

During the Nintendo Direct for the The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary celebration, Nintendo announced its very first special edition Switch 2. Officially called the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition, the console arrives alongside a special edition Switch 2 Pro controller and other accessories, all of which feature designs inspired by the popular game series.
The Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition is adorned with symbols and patterns from the games. The console itself has green joy-con 2 controllers with gold accents, while the dock has the Triforce symbol on the front. Nintendo will also ship it in a special retail box.
Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition will not ship with a copy of the new The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as that will be sold separately (available to pre-order on Amazon for $59.88). The special edition console is priced at $519.99 and will be released on October 29, a week before the game's release. It already has listings on Nintendo's website as well as Best Buy.
If you already own a Switch 2, you can purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller The Legend of Zelda™ – 40th Anniversary Edition, which has a similar design to the special edition console. It is available to pre-order now for $99.99 on the Nintendo online store. There's also a version with a display stand that costs $109.99.
Nintendo will also sell a Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary-themed carrying case that comes with a screen protector. The case is priced at $39.99 and comes with a green Zelda-themed cleaning cloth. It will be released on October 29, the same date as the controller.
