Coros Pace 4 Pro is launching soon with AMOLED display and titanium case
After the Coros Pace 4 Pro was spotted in a certification listing back in August, Coros has now officially confirmed on a teaser website that the next-generation flagship smartwatch will be unveiled on September 22 at 6:00 a.m. PT.
The website has already officially confirmed that the Coros Pace 4 Pro will feature a round AMOLED display – hardly a surprise, given that the already available Coros Pace 4 ($249 on Amazon) uses a similar screen. What is new, however, is that the case will be made of titanium, rather than plastic or aluminum, as is the case with the base model. Coros has not yet confirmed any further details regarding the smartwatch’s features.
However, the older Coros Pace Pro might offer a preview of the expected upgrades. After all, the watch was released about a year after the Coros Pace 3 and a year before the Coros Pace 4, and it offers some features that the newer, but more affordable, Pace 4 lacks. Most notably, this includes an ECG, an electrical sensor capable of detecting selected heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation.
The Coros Pace Pro also features a larger 1.3-inch display, compared to the Pace 4’s 1.2-inch screen, and boasts 32 GB of flash storage instead of just 4 GB, allowing significantly more music to be stored directly on the smartwatch. Perhaps the most significant difference is that the Coros Pace Pro offers a maps app for GPS navigation, which is missing from the Coros Pace 4 but is likely to return in the next-generation Pro model.
