New affordable smartwatch promises offline maps, dual-band GPS, 170+ sports modes

Rollme has now launched the Hero D6. It's a rugged GPS smartwatch aimed at outdoor and endurance use, and it joins the Hero D5 in the brand's GPS smartwatch lineup. The Hero D6 ships in Storm Gray and Trail Green for $79.99.

The watch has a 2.13-inch AMOLED display at 410 x 502 resolution, running on an ATS3085S main chip paired with a VC30F heart-rate sensor chip. Rollme built the case from a TPU and PC two-color injection-molded construction and markets it as military-grade durable, though the company's own materials don't cite a specific MIL-STD test standard. Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM.

For navigation, the Hero D6 uses dual-band multi-GNSS positioning alongside offline map downloads, a compass, a barometer, and altitude tracking — features for users who lose signal or connectivity on trails. Rollme lists 170+ sports modes, covering activities from cycling and treadmill running to swimming and hiking, and pairs the watch with 24/7 health monitoring. A 1306-series waterproof speaker handles calls and audio, connecting over Bluetooth 5.3 BLE. Charging is wired and magnetic.

The 850 mAh battery is Rollme's most advertised spec, and it's a big jump over the 680 mAh cell in the company's Hero M1, though Rollme's own product page does not publish a runtime figure in days. Some third-party coverage published around the same time cites a 70-day claim, but that number doesn't show up anywhere in the manufacturer materials reviewed for this piece and should be confirmed against Rollme's own listing before being reported as fact.

The Hero D6 requires Android 6.0 or iOS 14.0 or later.
