Garmin has returned to its Beta Program with another v23.xx beta update for the Fenix 8 series.
Garmin has just released a major software update to several of its older flagship smartwatches. Nonetheless, it has already returned with a new update for the same wearables, with promises of fresh improvements.

Hardly any time has passed since Garmin transitioned 23.xx beta development to its stable software branch. In fact, the company has not even finished rolling out System Software 23.31 to eligible smartwatches.

As we have discussed separately, the Fenix 8 Pro remains on System Software 22.44. Meanwhile, the Enduro 3 has only just received System Software 23.31 as part of a separate rollout from the Fenix E, Fenix 8 and the Tactix 8. Regardless, Garmin has already returned to its Beta Program with a new update.

Surprisingly, the update reverts to the company's v23.xx development cycle, rather than moving on to presumed v24.xx updates. Specifically, Garmin is now rolling out Beta Version 23.32 to all Fenix 8 family smartwatches, including the Fenix 8 Pro (curr. $949 on Amazon). In a forum post, the company already claims to have offered Beta Version 23.32 to all Beta Program participants.

Moreover, Garmin reports that the new beta only addresses 'minor issues', again without elaborating further. With that being said, it warns that Beta Version 23.32 ships with the same Indoor Climb recording bug that caused device crashes on older betas. At this stage, it is unclear whether v23.32 will be available as a future stable update too. Please see the company's forum post for more details.
