Laptop OEMs like Emdoor are looking to get around the Intel 14 nm CPU shortage by adding AMD-powered lineups. Thus, for 2019, Emdoor will first release some entry-level SR218 models powered by the older Stoney Ridge CPUs. Later on, when the Zen 2 CPUs get released, Emdoor will also launch a more advance AP618 lineup powered by Athlon, Raven Ridge and the new Picasso CPUs.

We've put together a list featuring the most interesting laptop models showcased at CES 2019. This year's highlights were the RTX 2000 mobility GPU additions, the OLED 4K displays and various unique designs. We selected one model that caught our eye from each of the major laptop OEMs and we are really looking forward to testing all these devices later this year.

An article posted to the online outlet Motherboard has alleged that the carriers T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T have been selling their US customers' geolocation data to private companies, who then went on to sell it to other parties such as those who issue bail bonds. The carriers in question have subsequently committed to put an end to these practices.

In addition to the upgraded Blade 15 Advanced, Razer is also showing two interesting prototypes at CES. The first one sports a 240 Hz full HD display, while the other one comes with a 4K OLED touchscreen. Sadly, these might not make it to the masses anytime soon, since both are only being evaluated at this stage.

CES 2019 | The Huawei MateBook 13 is coming to the United States for $999 USD

The 13.3-inch laptop is 1.6 mm thinner than the 2018 MacBook Air and has a higher 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. Its Whiskey Lake-U options should provide a significant boost in CPU performance over the passively-cooled Amber Lake-Y processor in the Apple equivalent. The MateBook 13 launches later this month for a starting price of $999 USD.

CES 2019 | Belkin and its assorted brands are back

At one point, Belkin was the go-to brand for third-party Apple accessories, not to mention USB power banks and cables. However, it had gone quiet for a good while following its amalgamation with Foxconn. This year, Belkin and its current international brands (Linksys, Wemo and Phyn) have made a comeback to CES this year to showcase their new products.
