Premium Business-Multimedia Combination. Dell's XPS 15 receives a lot of attention that other manufacturers would like to get as well. Of course HP would also like to compete with Dell's premium laptop. So HP has introduced a device that aims to impress with a unibody case, business features, and powerful components into the market. More performance – but also better? We already reviewed the base model of the current Dell XPS 15 9570 and now check the more expensive SKU with a faster Core i7 CPU as well as the high-resolution 4K UHD touchscreen. How does the slim chassis handle the additional performance and what is the effect on the battery runtime?

Cut corners. How much is a 144 Hz display worth? The Pavilion Gaming 15t is HP's latest entry in the budget gaming laptop market, designed to compete with the likes of Acer's Helio 300 and Dell's G7. While most areas of the notebook are good (including its high refresh rate screen), HP cut a few corners in their pursuit of the best budget gaming notebook.

Powerful subnotebook. The EliteBook 735 G5 is the smallest model of HP's AMD-exclusive business notebooks. Although it performed well in our tests, the capabilities of the Ryzen APU were not exhausted. In this review, we show why the EliteBook 735 G5 is a great business laptop regardless.

Design at a low price. The prices for the notebooks from Lenovo’s budget IdeaPad 300 series start at about 350 Euros ($407). For this, buyers get a well-designed, portable notebook. Our review device with an Optane-accelerated hard drive, Core i5-8250U CPU and Intel UHD Graphics 620 costs 600 Euros ($698). Thin, fast, and flimsy. Despite its drawbacks, the MSI GS65 remains one of the best slim gaming notebooks currently available. Today’s updated, less expensive configuration ($1,849) features a Core i7-8750H, 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1060, and 256 GB NVMe SSD. How does it stack up?

Display disappointment. Hewlett Packard's 15.6-inch notebook features a Core i5 CPU, a fast NVMe SSD, and a dedicated GeForce MX 110 GPU with GDDR5 video RAM. Unfortunately, the matte FHD panel was a disappointment.

13.3-inch lightweight. The ZenBook S (UX391) is a particularly light 13.3-inch laptop from Asus. It tips the scale at just 1 kg, but the manufacturer says the performance is not affected. We review the rival for the XPS 13.

Small but powerful. In the same way you should not judge a book by its cover it would be premature to judge a notebook's powerfulness by its total height, and the Tulpar T5 V18.1 by the Turkish barebone reseller Monster is living proof thereof. The 15-inch gaming notebook features a super thin metal chassis that manages to house a six-core CPU paired with a high-end GPU. Let's find out whether the cooling system is up to the task.

The better and cheaper X1. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G6 has joined its WQHD HDR and Core i7 equipped sibling in our offices for review. The G6 is the entry-level model of current touchscreen-equipped Carbon X1 devices. The G6 is free from the thermal issues from which its sibling suffered thanks to its less powerful CPU, but this comes at a cost to the WQHD HDR display. Despite this drawback, the G6 provides a more rounded overall experience than its more expensive sibling.

Heavy throttler. The affordable Ryzen-powered laptop starts at just $330 USD with options up to the Ryzen 7 2700U and FHD display. Unfortunately, CPU throttling means owners won't benefit from the full performance of the hardware.
